A preliminary vote on military, humanitarian and economic aid to Kyiv is expected today, setting up a final vote on Wednesday.

I’m well on my way to a full recovery,” Fetterman said. “On Friday, I wasn’t feeling well, so I went to the hospital to get checked out. “I hadn’t been feeling well, but was so focused on the campaign that I ignored the signs and just kept going.” I didn’t want to go – I didn’t think I had to – but Gisele insisted, and as usual, she was right,” Fetterman said in a statement posted to Twitter, referring to his wife. The Wyoming congresswoman, who was removed from her position as the No 3 House Republican last year after she joined the panel investigating the 6 January Capitol attack, urged party leaders in a tweet to “renounce and reject these views and those who hold them”. Liz Cheney has accused Republican leadership of enabling “white nationalism, white supremacy, and anti-Semitism”, in a scathing message following the racially-motivated massacre at a grocery store in Buffalo.

Every club's amazing Indigenous jumper: Which is best? Vote now (AFL)

ICYMI: A detailed look at our 2022 Indigenous Guernsey ? Launched in January ahead of the AFLW season, we'll be wearing it in an AFL match for the first time ...

It was the Spirits that gave the world form and meaning. Sydney players will don a new Marn Grook guernsey this year, which has been designed by GO Foundation scholar, artist Lua Pellegrini. A proud Wiradjuri woman who grew up on Darug country, Pellegrini is studying at UNSW and is Chairperson of the NSW Youth Advisory Council. The artwork on the guernsey is titled Duguwaybul Yindyamangidyal which means altogether respectfully: respect, gentleness, politeness, honour, careful, altogether as one. Winmar’s guernsey, which features traditional Indigenous splatter painting techniques, is inspired by his family, his heritage and his love of the Saints. It shows everyone coming together as one and has all the elements of the Australian landscape including land, sea, waterways, flora, fauna, sun, moon and stars. The club's 2022 Indigenous guernsey is called 'Marram'. Designed by Wurundjeri/Dja Dja Wurrung artist Ky-ya Nicholson Ward, the guernsey will be worn by both the club's men's and women's teams for the first time in history. GIANTS' JUMPER Learn more about it here Passionate about his culture, Whitton believes in the importance of storytelling and sharing this knowledge with his children so they can be proud of their Indigenous heritage. Fremantle will proudly wear a Michael Walters and Peter Farmer Junior designed Indigenous jumper for the AFL’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round games against Collingwood and Melbourne in rounds 10 and 11. Designed by star forward Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti, the feet represent the Bombers' past First Nations players, with the striking design also depicting the pathway and journey through different terrains and lands to the NEC Hangar, our central meeting place. Kellett has a special link to Indigenous Round being the great granddaughter of Sir Doug Nicholls and she wanted the design to feature as many Indigenous stories from the club as possible. LIONS' JUMPER Learn more about it here Designed by triple Premiership Lion and proud Eastern Arrernte Man, Darryl White, the Lions' 2022 Indigenous guernsey is a representation of both Darryl’s heritage, and the rich history of the Brisbane Lions, including the merging of the Brisbane Bears and Fitzroy Lions 25 years ago and a representation of it being 20 years since our triumphant Premiership win in 2002.

Colombia's ELN declares 10-day ceasefire for presidential vote (Aljazeera.com)

Armed rebels say ceasefire will run from May 25 until June 3 to allow Colombian voters to cast their ballots 'in peace'.

Colombians will head to the polls on May 29 to vote for a new president to lead the country until 2026. In a statement on Monday, the ELN said the pause in hostilities would run from May 25 until June 3 “so that those that want to vote can do so in peace”. The group said it had taken the decision in its own interests to generate a “better atmosphere … so that we can see who could be the winning candidate”.

Strategic voting, including a blank box against the name of Zed Seselja will improve the chances of Canberra being taken more seriously by the federal government. The second advantage is that should they be elected and at some stage need to resign, it is a like-minded independent that is likely to replace them. A vote for independents or Greens will send a clear message to the major parties. They have done so to remove the disadvantage of only being available to below-the-line voters. In their minds, the moral views of MPs and senators were more important than those of the ACT Assembly that they had established. At the polling booth, the best chance to disrupt the status quo is on the Senate paper.
