Married couple Robert and Anne Geeves, both 61, were arrested over the disappearance of the 19-year-old in 2002.

At the age of 18, Amber took up with Robert and Anne Geeves in a property called Huntley, in Kingsvale, an isolated rural pocket. In the witness box, they all dismissed it as drunken babble. She was put in a shredding machine, people said.

Two people have been arrested as part of an investigation into the suspicious disappearance of teen mother, Amber Haigh in 2002.

The car was originally owned by the couple at the time of the disappearance and police confirmed they are considering the possibility the vehicle may have been used during the alleged murder. Decades on and detectives have made a major breakthrough. Police allege the couple were also residing in a Kingsvale residence at the time of the disappearance.

"We will be alleging the man and woman, both 61, were residing in a property at Kingsvale at the time and police will allege they were responsible for the murder of Amber," Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty said earlier today. The arrests come just over a week after the reward for information in Ms Haigh's case was increased to $1 million.
