Taking the red carpet at the Met Gala by storm, Robertsson was dressed in an intricate, spine-filled haute couture gown designed by Iris Van Herpen, while also sporting some spherical eye makeup and a slicked-back hairdo.

Fans got confused by Leto, Fredrik Robertsson and Alessandro Michele.

Robertsson appeared at the event wearing a silver Iris Van Herpen jumpsuit with impressive spokes of silver forming wings around his upper body. Their appearance led to there being a grand total of three people resembling Jared Leto at the event, leaving many people questioning who was the actually the man himself. Confused social media users began to credit Leto for Robertsson's look, with one sharing a picture of Robertsson and writing: "Jared Leto wearing Iris Van Herpen for #metgala."
