Will Davison edged teammate Anton De Pasquale in the second and final practice session for the Perth SuperNight.

We're still focussed on fixing a few things, particularly in the first sector. De Pasquale had a kerb strike of his own at the end of the session, sealing top spot for Davison. Van Gisbergen did have a crack at reclaiming top spot with a fastest first sector on his final run, however a kerb strike at the end of the lap put paid to any hopes of improvement.

There were some good battles and it was awesome to see the hill packed. It was never an overly comfortable lead, though, with Cam Waters and van Gisbergen constantly stalking the Shell Ford. "It's so awesome to drive a good car here.

Ford's Anton De Pasquale has secured pole position for Saturday's night Supercars race after topping qualifying at Perth's Wanneroo Raceway.

Despite showing good pace in Saturday’s practice sessions, Davison will have to start the race from 12th after a mistake in qualifying left him in the middle of the pack. Championship leader Shane van Gisbergen, who is seeking his first Supercars race win in Western Australia, will start the 46-lap race from third position. Ford’s Anton De Pasquale has secured his third pole position of the Supercars season for Saturday’s night race in Perth.

Brodie Kostecki was fighting Reynolds for fourth in the opening stint, however a slow left-rear change cost him over five seconds and cost him crutial track position. Tickford Racing driver Cameron Waters sat in second throughout the opening stint, however when De Pasquale and Shane van Gisbergen were able to push in the final stint Waters could not keep up with the pair. Van Gisbergen went on to take the win by 2.3s from De Pasquale and Waters.

Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen is proving to be the milestone man for Holden, securing the brand's 600th race win with victory in Perth on Saturday.

"You always want to convert in the race because that's where you get points and that's what you get trophies from," De Pasquale said. "I've got the 500th, 550 and 600th now - it's a cool privilege." The Red Bull Ampol Racing star's seventh win from 10 starts in 2022 was also Holden's 600th win as a brand across the Australian Touring Car Championship and Supercars eras.

It allowed De Pasquale to open up a 1.2s margin; all the while, van Gisbergen pressed on. De Pasquale led through Turn 1; van Gisbergen pressured Waters through Turns 2 and 3. Van Gisbergen ran a longer stint relative to De Pasquale and Waters to secure win No. 7 of 2022.
