Perth Glory battled to a hard earned 1-1 draw in their penultimate A-League clash with Western Sydney Wanderers at HBF Park on Saturday night.
Glory sat back in a massed defence and looked to break on the counter attack. They had plenty of ball movement but crosses were inaccurate, they lacked any real polish in the box and Glory goalkeeper Liam Reddy was rarely troubled. He split the defence with a couple of nice passes and Glory fans would have been left wondering what could have been. It was a game of little consequence with Glory guaranteed the wooden spoon and Wanderers out of the finals race. He was clearly not fully fit - he had not featured since tearing his groin in the loss to Macarthur on February 23 - but showed classy touches when on the ball. It was caretaker coach Ruben Zadkovichโs second draw in nine games and he praised the โback to the wallโ effort.
