So, this week is Cinemacon, which is a big showcase that the studios put on for exhibitors (theater owners, etc.) in order to highlight their upcoming titles.
We’re just wondering if this film’s inevitable box-office mega-success means that Universal will try to cross over with one of their other hit franchises: We’re picturing Jurassic World: The Minions next. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.” Hence, a brand new trailer for Jurassic World: Dominion, coming in hot on the heels of the last one just a few weeks ago.
Truth be told, with tickets going on sale today in advance of its June 10 domestic debut, the film doesn't need to offer up much else.
This isn’t necessarily a criticism, although I do wonder if a more conventional 007 marketing campaign (the promos for Skyfall weren’t exactly spoiler-free) might have moved the needle a little on its domestic debut weekend. I’m sure Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will do just fine, but I am amused to see the marketing working so hard to hide basic act-one plot information (very abstract details - person searches out Doctor Strange’s help in dealing with a fantastical problem) that almost every review will, by default, have to divulge. When you have the movie (Frozen) and/or IP (Star Wars) that will get them in the door anyway, that’s fine.
The CGI budget looks through the roof on this one, as all the stops are pulled out for the conclusion of the Jurassic World series.
This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures. Or, to quote the most recent synopsis: Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world.

This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.” Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. Not to mention all of the action sequences, which are, to say the least of it, wild. First and foremost, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, and Laura Dern are back in the saddle as Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm, and Ellie Sattler together for the first time since the original Jurassic Park. And the trailer makes clear that they are a bit part of the proceedings, not just cameos. But the big feature players here are the dinosaurs who are now living in and amongst humans, given the destruction of Isla Nublar in Fallen Kingdom. It turns out this is not going well for the people of Earth. Not only does the original cast return alongside the current cast making for a big uniting of generations, but there is a wild amount of dino-craziness going on here, even by this franchise’s standards.

It’s not really clear in the trailers how any of this is connected to the dinosaurs that now roam the Earth. Of course, as with most of the recent Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies, Dominion also includes a new and extra-dangerous dinosaur that was genetically engineered by humans. Jurassic World Dominion is set to arrive in theaters on June 10.

Chris Pratt (The Tomorrow War) and Bryce Dallas Howard ( Rocketman) return for Dominion, after starring in the past two Jurassic World movies. When they're said early in the just-dropped new trailer for Jurassic World Dominion, they simply state the obvious — because having dinosaurs rampaging around the globe was always going to result in chaos. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, who also helmed the first Jurassic World film, Dominion jumps back into this dino-filled vision of earth four years after the last flick — which saw Isla Nublar destroyed.
The final trailer for Jurassic World Dominion has landed online – and, thankfully, it's free of potential spoilers.
Suffice to say, Jurassic Park fans weren't happy that the trailer ruined multiple moments ahead of the movie's launch. Because the trailers for Dominion's predecessor – Fallen Kingdom – revealed too much about what was going to happen in that movie. But, as noted by fans, the best part of the entire teaser is that there are no major story spoilers contained within.

Jeff Golblum is back in Jurassic World: Dominion, but what does he think about his infamous shirtless scene?
Colin Trevorrow has long been assuring fans that the original Jurassic Park trio would have very large roles in Dominion. The trailers have definitely helped to support this, as Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill have had plenty of screen time in the marketing material. Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm had some of those most quotable bits of dialogue, although the shirtless scene might be his most iconic moment from the beloved blockbuster. As a reminder, you can see the latest trailer for the movie below, which looks like it’s going to end the franchise as we know it. Case in point: his tenure playing Dr. Ian Malcolm in the Jurassic Park franchise.
