Sonia Kruger is a bona-fide television fan - which is why she loves being a part of The Voice Australia.

“If they turn a chair it just becomes electric, and if they turn all four chairs the elation in the room is just next-level happiness.” “I love the fact that Natalia finds these incredible pieces and you feel like you are making a video clip when you walk out in them.” “I think it’s important to get out into nature to decompress a little bit, but really and truly I do love to watch television. “I get out and walk the dog each day, that’s fun especially when the weather is good - it’s nice to be outside. “It’s absolutely silent in the studio - and there are a lot of people in there,” Sonia explains. “It’s a lime green sequined jacket dress and it feels like it was made to host The Voice in. “The great thing with Natalia is she gives every show its own identity, whether it’s Big Brother which has a slightly futuristic vibe, to Dancing with The Stars which is all about sparkle, to The Voice which is like going to the Grammys every day. “I look at the four superstar coaches and I have to pinch myself sometimes because somebody like Keith Urban, who has just been at the Oscars and the Grammys and headlining in Vegas, is there talking to people just normally and that blows my mind. “It’s the coaches combined with incredible music, and people who are putting it all on the line to pursue their dream that makes The Voice for me one of the best shows on TV for me.” “It is serious for our artists, they want to turn a chair, they really want to get through the Blind Auditions. Sonia calls The Voice “the biggest, shiniest floor show on television”, and it has a special place in her heart. “Dancing with the Stars is much looser in its format and we are given a lot of leeway to do what we want to do, whereas performing on The Voice is a really big moment for all of our artists and you really want to make sure that they have their time in the sun,” Sonia tells 7Entertainment.
