Queensland records cases of 'Deltacron' (9News)

Health authorities confirmed at least 12 cases of the new variant have been recorded in the sunshine state.

There are 366 people in hospital with the virus and 15 people in ICU. There are 1437 people in hospital with COVID-19 and 47 people admitted to ICU. Ten people died in NSW with the virus in the past 24 hours.

WA Health is reporting a total of 6566 new cases to 8pm last night. There are currently 44819 active cases in Western Australia.
