Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit a theater near you on May 5, though we’re not totally sure if it’ll arrive on that date in every other universe that Marvel is pumping these bad boys out into. Would the world look like a bombed-out husk or would it be like Lionel Hutz’s vision of a world without lawyers? “In Marvel Studios’ ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before.

The Cosmic Circus Theory: Wanda Maximoff using Astral Projection ... (The Cosmic Circus)

The article discusses whether Wanda Maximoff, aka The Scarlet Witch, is using astral projection to travel across the multiverse and visit her sons.

Fear of the actions our Wanda does in the body of their mother. For those who do follow rumors and leaks, you probably already know that this is expected to be a focal point for why the conflict between Wanda and Doctor Strange begins in the film. The setting and circle of candles look similar to a shot in nearly every other advertisement for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, with Wanda floating cross-legged meditating. Hearing the voices of her children, Wanda would go to the ends of the earth to see them again. But for her, it’s a more complex projection through the barriers of the multiverse to see her children again. Moments later, we see Wanda in a similar position, however, the boys are gone and she is in her Scarlet Witch costume surrounded by candles in a mystical-looking place.

Doctor Strange 2 Will Explore Avengers: Endgame Regret, Says ... (The Direct)

Sam Raimi, the director of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, teased that the sequel will explore characters' regrets from Avengers: Endgame.

Doctor Strange's own Benedict Cumberbatch also confirmed that Multiversal travel is in store, but the actor noted this will affect the reality of the MCU as well, saying, "The stakes are real. Perhaps, just like Loki, Variants will be key in helping the MCU's cast of characters face their past regrets? The continuance of Marvel Studios stories can be so rich, and we’re able to explore it in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ This film takes us on a journey through different realities in the Multiverse.” They see the repercussions of that in this film, which is really interesting. Even in ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ choices were made that some of the characters in our movie regret.

'Doctor Strange 2' Breaks Fandango's First-Day Ticket Sales ... (Collider.com)

The MCU has had a strong start to 2022 with the premiere of the highly anticipated Moon Knight series just last week. However, what many Marvel fans cannot ...

With multiple versions of Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch running around, including a zombie version of Strange seen in What If…?, this seems like the perfect film for Raimi to make his Marvel return. For starters, this sequel is riding high off the wave of No Way Home. That film feeds directly into Multiverse of Madness with Strange opening up the Multiverse — and fans having their dreams come true with the amazing return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man. The various trailers have teased even more potential surprises with the voice of Patrick Stewart’s Professor X seemingly being heard in the last trailer. Doctor Strange 2’s ticket sales is the best pre-sale day for Fandango since Spider-Man: No Way Home tickets went on sale in late November of last year.

Following No Way Home's nearly $2 billion efforts at the global box office starting in December 2021, Doctor Strange 2 will take the ideas from that threequel to new levels of pure madness. From Billy and Tommy Maximoff's confirmed appearances in the film to reports about the effect Avengers: Endgame will have on the plot, hype for Doctor Strange 2 continues to increase exponentially. With dozens of potential players from multiple universes converging into a movie that's only 126 minutes long, fans are already itching to see what the MCU has in store for its summer hit.

With two more movies and at least three more Disney+ entries coming this year, fans will watch to see if his name pops up in the same fashion down the road. That trailer made specific note of Doctor Strange 2 being directed by the Spider-Man trilogy's Sam Raimi, which was only the second time an MCU movie had ever promoted its director as part of its promo material. Bringing in stories from multiple universes and giving fans dozens of core characters and Variants, this sequel could raise the bar for Marvel adventures even after the craziness from Spider-Man: No Way Home.

'Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness' First Day Pre-Sales ... (Deadline)

Fandango noticed showtimes selling out for the Benedict Cumberbatch-Elizabeth Olsen-Rachel McAdams movie, and that new showtimes were being added by exhibition.

We hear that the first day presales for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are the best since Spider-Man: No Way Home (which went on sale on Nov. 29, 2021), but didn’t topple them. “The epic first day of presales for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness proves fans are beyond excited to experience all the thrills, chills and blockbuster surprises Marvel Studios is known to deliver,” said Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis in a statement. Tickets went on sale yesterday for Disney/Marvel’s highly anticipated Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Fandango reports it’s their best so far this year for a pic’s initial 24-hour period of sales, beating Warner Bros.’ The Batman. The movie which takes place following the events of Disney+/Marvel’s WandaVision, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, fires up summer on May 6.

Betting against an MCU summer kick-off movie is like betting on Rocky Balboa to beat Apollo Creed (the first time), so Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will likely soar to some variation of infinity and beyond thanks to the MCU brand, its event-movie status, the No Way Home halo (both in terms of Doctor Strange and Sam Raimi) and the general lack of early summer competition. That’s not to say the two teasers (the one released at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home and the Super Bowl trailer) aren’t filled with over-the-top fantastical imagery and grim pontifications about world-changing stakes. Simply put, when Venom: Let There Be Carnage is outgrossing Shang-Chi, Dune is essentially tying with Eternals and Black Widow is about to get passed by Uncharted, well, at some point Disney is going to have to remind folks who still rules the mountain unless of course they no longer do.
