Looks to heave and this slides onto hit her on the back leg. There's been a bit of waiting around (before the start) and bit of darkness at the end and I thought everyone did an amazing job. Coming into this World Cup, we wanted to be at the Hagley Oval on the 3rd and it's been at the forefront of our minds and I guess today was another stepping stone. Australia's potent bowling attack used the surface well and ensured that the WI batters weren't allowed to get away. For me, personally just a bit disappointed with my performance especially with the bat and earlier I was carrying a niggle with my bowling and it was a bit hard for me personally. Deandra tried and I guess we needed a burst like against India or something like that to get that momentum going towards the end. To chase that total you have to be positive, we needed someone from the top four to be positive and we just never had that. When you have Rashada who is a stroke player and Deandra hits the ball hard and we find that both of them compliment well each other and with me and Hayley next if both of us are, we can get the team over. They absorbed the pressure and then they upped the ante, I find out that we couldn't get over that and the amount of drop catches never helped us in the field. It was really hard but we were actually looking to get something from the game, at least get to 200. It took a historical innings in the last WC to eliminate them and it will take something similar in the summit clash to deny them of what looks like another World Cup title. I thought we planned it well and set a really good base.

Over-by-over report: Can Meg Lanning's unbeaten side book a place in the final or will West Indies spring a surprise? Find out with our team of writers.

45th over: Australia 305-3 (Lanning 26, Mooney 43) Mooney picks up a couple of runs after Dottin slips in the outfield, letting the ball under her body but managing to recover and save the ball from trickling over the ropes. 1st over: West Indies 5-0 (Dottin 5, Williams 0) Darcie Brown starts off to Deandra Dottin and Rashada Williams, and Dottin scorches the first ball of the innings through cover for four. 5th over: West Indies 15-1 (Dottin 15, Matthews 0) Another bash from Dottin against Brown, over mid-off this time but only getting two runs as the ball slows up. 6th over: West Indies 17-1 (Dottin 16, Matthews 0) Defend Schutt, attack Brown. That seems to be the Dottin tactic so far. 24th over: West Indies 99-3 (Taylor 26, Campbelle 1) Taylor slaps Gardner down the ground, then taps a single to cover. Alana King is there but it takes a horrible bounce off the edge of one of the other strips, skipping up to hit her in the throat. 11th over: West Indies 51-2 (Matthews 15, Taylor 0) To add to West Indiesโ€™ problems, Matthews looks like she has a hamstring twinge. 26th over: West Indies 106-3 (Taylor 28, Campbelle 4) Jonassen has come around to the other end to bowl, and it goes pretty well. 34th over: West Indies 143-6 (Taylor 45, Ramharack 6) A single for Ramharack, then Taylor gloves Gardner just past the keeper while sweeping for four. 37th over: West Indies 146-8 (Connell 1) King bowling around the wicket, and Taylor charges the last ball of the over and tries to smash over the leg side. 27th over: West Indies 115-3 (Taylor 32, Campbelle 7) A few runs coming from Brown, shovelling singles down the leg side, plus a wide for a high bouncer. A couple of hits down the ground for doubles, and they end up with nine from the over.

She has scalped 10 wickets in the competition and has taken them at an average of 22.30. Matthewsโ€™ probing line and length will pose some questions to the opposition. The West Indies could only manage to win three out of their seven rubbers. However, if the batters can get through this initial phase, they can score runs on this surface.

Taylor rushes down and lofts, it's straight to the fielder who drops it We wanted to be at the Hagley Oval on the 3rd and I thought everyone did an amazing job. We were flying around and didn't have momentum to recover at the back end. Three reds and the end nears closer We were looking at getting something from the game and get the team to 200. 6:55pm Australia storm into the final of the Women's World Cup for the seventh time and they have absolutely decimated West Indies. The semi-final proved to be a one-sided contest ever since Healy and Haynes managed a record 216-run opening stand. We want to win the tournament at the end of the day. It's been a little bit up and down and not quite where I wanted to be and not clinical. I didn't contribute to the team as I would have liked. We needed somebody from the top four to bat through but we didn't have that. That brings curtains to the first semi-final. We try to get the most out of our batting line-up and we tried that.

And it crept ever higher as West Indies lost 3 for 8 in 10 balls, including Chedean Nation, run out by none other than Healy, while she was attempting a second run. She brought up her maiden World Cup century - and fourth in ODIs - with a single through cover, with a visceral "yeeeeessss!" as she struck the ball. Beth Mooney produced a neat cameo of 43 not out off 31 balls, including three consecutive fours off Taylor, as she and Lanning added 68 runs. But the pall of missed opportunity hung heavy over West Indies when Matthews put down a sitter at mid-on four balls later that would have seen Haynes dismissed for 61. Healy's first fifty runs came off 63 balls while her second came from just 28 and she finished with 17 fours and a six. By the time captain Stafanie Taylor dug in for a steadying but rather circumspect innings, it was too late.
