Tickets for Shane Warne's memorial service will be available to members of the public from 3pm on Tuesday, Premier Daniel Andrews has announced. The Victorian government on Tuesday morning released new details for the state service.
The MCG said the memorial service “will feature performances, tributes and reflections from those close to Shane, celebrating his unique charisma and honouring his immeasurable contribution to his sport and to his country”. It is likely that at some point during the memorial service, the ground’s Great Southern Stand will be renamed the Shane Warne Stand; an honour Victorian Sports Minister Martin Pakula offered to the cricketer’s family.
