The concern for Gray is in his right knee and it’s believed a minor tweak to the medial ligament could force him to be sidelined as well. Robbie Gray will also head in for scans on his knee after a first-quarter incident. While McKenzie is due for scans in the next 24 hours, the club is hopeful that his injury concern is just a hyperextension of the knee.

Power 'decimated' with 'fears' of 'serious injury' for star; Cameron's promising update: Casualty Ward.

That’s what happens when you play high-quality football against tough teams, you have to pay a price, and I thought our blokes were actually prepared to pay the price,” Hinkley told reporters post-match. We’ll wait and see, but on the initial test, our doctor’s very experienced and was reasonably confident that, as an ACL goes, it’s probably not that. “Ken Hinkley believes Trent McKenzie’s injury is not an ACL tear but that is where the good news ends. “Xavier Duursma’s collarbone - he is still extremely sore today. “At the moment we don’t have a specific time frame for when Christian will return, but we will know more post-op.” Salem was subbed out of the win over the Dogs after being crunched in a Bontempelli tackle. The gun forward was subbed out in the second quarter and reportedly left “struggling to breathe” in the Cats rooms, later spotted on a stretcher leaving the stadium. “We will work through a process with Marcus into next week to determine his availability to play against the Blues on Thursday night.” “I just hope more than anything that we get to see whether he can play a bit of half-back this year and that the injury is not too serious.” The forward injured his thumb in the opening term at the MCG, but played on to finish with just six disposals and a goal. “Xavier looks like he’s OK from a structural perspective, from a break or anything like that, it’s been checked and that’s OK — but at the time we were fearing it may have been broken,” he said. The Power fears Aliir Aliir has suffered a serious syndesmosis injury that could require surgery and that could 8-12 weeks on the sideline.
