Tom Morris says he is 'deeply ashamed' after inappropriate remarks emerged in a leaked audio scandal.

“That is something that we need to clearly turn our attention to and have been, frankly, over the past few days and work where that comes through,” Bains told Sportsday radio. “We have the best in the business working at Fox Sports. We love what we do, and we have a reputation as a great place to work. “The bottom line is we are committed to a work environment where everyone can come to work in the knowledge they are safe, respected and valued. “My comments were hurtful to many and I will now take the time to listen, learn and work to improve myself, ensuring that I become a better person. “While Tom’s journalism has made a valuable contribution to Fox Sports over the past seven years, the message we became aware of yesterday crossed the line. “Our culture at Fox Sports is based on a respectful, inclusive environment and a fair go for all,” executive director Steve Crawley said in a statement to 7NEWS.

'What I did was not OK': Dogs coach sorry for post-game outburst aimed at journalist.

“The last thing I want is for my actions to reflect negatively on the Western Bulldogs Football Club and our culture. We will continue to provide Luke with the resources, guidance and support he needs to perform in his role at the highest level of professionalism.” I don’t think the president of the Western Bulldogs will be too impressed by it.” “They’ll be desperately worried about this and if they continue to back him and allow him to behave like this, they’re complicit. I don’t think he’s equipped to be looking after the futures of 30 young men, quite frankly.” As a Club, we commit to a thorough process of internal assessment to ensure better outcomes in the future. From the very beginning of those discussions this morning, Luke made clear that he understood his behaviour was inappropriate and he is deeply remorseful. “Luke is a much loved and valued leader within our club. While I was highly emotional in the moments after a difficult loss, it is no excuse to let those emotions spill over and get the better of me. “The Western Bulldogs Football Club cannot and does not condone senior coach Luke Beveridge’s handling of his post-game press conference exchange with Tom Morris last night. “As people would know, I am extremely passionate about, and protective of, our players and our people, and I always have their welfare and their best interests at heart. “I want to apologise for my behaviour.

'A female journalist's worst nightmare': The collateral damage of AFL ... (Parkes Champion-Post)

What started as male egos colliding in an AFL press conference - where Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge attacked Fox Sports journalist Tom Morris - ended ...

It is up to men to call out comments and behaviours from other men any time these comments are made. The Beveridge v Morris clash is a very different one to the fallout controversy: Morris v women. The comments from Tom Morris are disgusting and should never be spoken. Add being a woman journalist in a male-dominated arena, these barriers are even higher." If you’re “hot” you get this Tom Morris kind of objectification & grossness. If you’re not “hot” they don’t even let you through the door. "During some down time while people were eating, a Cricket Australia employee wandered over for a chat. 'It's great but there aren't too many of us!' Mitch responded with a laugh. Because a lot of the people defending Morris when he was attacked by Beveridge disappeared when Morris's messages were leaked. Some people might be under the illusion sexism doesn't exist these days. Well, let's hope that illusion is shattered. Morris was sacked on Friday by Fox Sports.
